Message from Sue to patrons
In February 2017, Theatre Britain announced that I would step down at the end of the year because Ian and I had decided to return to the UK in 2018. This meant the loss of both Theatre Britain's Artistic Director/Executive Producer and its Production Manager.
The Board reluctantly decided, therefore, that 2017 would be Theatre Britain's final season.
I was one of the founders of Theatre Britain in 1996 and I am proud of all that has been achieved. We have such wonderful designers, an outstanding crew, talented actors walk our stage, and we have dedicated volunteers and friends. We have patrons who have been with us since the beginning and many who have only just joined us. I thank you all for everything you have done to make Theatre Britain such a success.
2017 was a year of record attendance and Theatre Britain will end fiscally strong and debt free.
I know you will be sad, as I am, that Theatre Britain is closing, but Ian and I are looking forward to this new chapter in our lives and the chance to be near our families.
